On Friday, May 10th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, an estimated fifty CMU students and Grand Junction community members gathered on campus to protest the university’s investment into Northrop Grumman, a weapons manufacturer which is arming the genocide in Gaza.
Five student speakers addressed the crowd in advocacy for a free Palestine, and materials were distributed including QR codes to educational resources on the Palestine conflict, a petition for divestment from Northrop Grumman, and flyers on Northrop Grumman’s arms deals with Israel and CMU’s investment into the company.

Participants were supplied with contact information for President John Marshall and the CMU board of trustees and encouraged to pressure for divestment. Contact information for these officials is available on the CMU website, and the petition to divest is titled “Demand CMU Divest from Genocide”, available on change.org.
