Who benefits from a second Trump term? Certainly not the working people, nor the small business owners who he so often appeals to with intoxicating praise. The small farmers don’t benefit either, despite the fact that Trump has many strongholds in rural areas. Trump talks big about supporting the common people, but when push comes to shove, he always sides with big business interests against the interests (and the rights) of the vast majority of the American people. Whether it be by supporting the unconstitutional and tyrannical confiscation of firearms from law abiding citizens (“red flag” laws) or by cutting taxes for the wealthy elites and pushing them onto the hardworking American people, Trump has proven by words and by deeds who he’s really loyal to.
Trump wants you to think that your enemy is the immigrant worker, or the single mother on welfare, or the gay couple that lives across the street from you. But these people aren’t your enemy. Your enemy isn’t your gay neighbor. Your enemy isn’t your co-worker from Mexico. Your enemy isn’t the homeless man begging for change on the side of the road. Your enemies, your real enemies, are the people like Trump; the wealthy elites, the tech mega-corporations, the career politicians who pretend to be outsiders, the financial brokers in New York City and Los Angeles. These are the people who are ruining this country. These are the people who want you to think that your enemy is your fellow American, and they spend billions of dollars on news shows, internet articles and political campaigns to try and convince you of this.

But don’t get it twisted; Joe Biden (whose legacy will in all important ways be continued by Kamala Harris) is just the same. Joe Biden promised, and continues to promise, that he will make this country a better place for the little guy, for the working person. He says over and over again that he’s going to stop Trump from ruining this country. But from where I’m standing, this country is already well on its way to ruin, and Joe Biden hasn’t done a damn thing to stop it. He presents himself as the opposite of Donald Trump, and in a sense that’s true; Joe Biden is the opposite of Donald Trump the same way that the head of a quarter is the opposite of its tail.
Both candidates are the elite of the elite. Both seem to think that your tax dollars are best spent funding endless foreign wars that this country has no business being involved in. And both have made it clear that your interests and the interests of your family will always take second place to the interests of the wealthy and powerful elites, who do nothing for this country but drain it of its wealth and resources, which they have done absolutely nothing to produce. But that doesn’t stop them from acting like the products of the hard work of the American people belong to them.
If people like Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos disappeared overnight, life would go on as if nothing had happened. But what do you think would happen if, overnight, every single honest, hardworking American decided they didn’t want to go to work? Do you think the Trumps, Bidens and Musks of the world would be able to manage without us?
