Local artist Trevor Adams, when he is not spitting truth in his hip hop duo Jason and Trevor, he is making thought provoking art. Adams created a series of abstract collage flags back during the turbulent year of 2020. Adams’ flags will be featured at Copeka Coffee (1012 N. 5th Street) starting on April 4th. 25% of sales will go to the Copeka Renovation Fund, and 25% will be donated to the GJ Community Food Bank.

“I love taking images and turning them into something new. I look for colors and textures that appeal to me, as well as specific images.” —Trevor Adams

“They were made during the 45th presidency, after the murder of George Floyd, during COVID, when I felt very conflicted about what it meant to be an American. Now, with so many things that have gone on since then, especially very recently, I feel even more conflict in my heart about being an American.” —Trevor Adams
