In a move that had been communicated to patients to take place January 1, as of October 6, Harmony HRT in Fruita will no longer be taking insurance of any kind.

While this move had been communicated to patients to be happening at the first of the new year and email sent out to patients today read:

The text carries the date September 29, it was posted to their website September 30, but it wasn’t sent via email to patents until 12:42pm today, October 1.

This move will make it harder for many people in the Grand Valley to get hormones they need. This change in timeline will be brutal to people because it leaves people with just Thursday and a half day on Friday to be seen and have insurance cover it.

“We did not anticipate needing to act so quickly. On Monday, October 29th, we were forced to make this decision sooner than planned rather than later. This was not an easy choice—it came after many months of planning and stressing over what to do,” said Joy Ford, Office Manager at Harmony HRT in an email to The Revolutionist.

If your medical services are going to be affected by this change, we would love to hear from you. therevolutionistgj@gmail.com.
