Dread-ja Vu: On Closures, Cops and the Coming Winter
It took me a week to think of a name for it. Dread-ja vu. The meeting place of deja vu and dread, it’s the feeling that’s brought on by watching the same terrible thing happen over and over again, and over and over until a sick suspicion rises within you that this is always how the story ends.
It’s Crime to be Gay!?
We have a duty to make sure that everyone regardless of race, religion, disability or sexual orientation be treated with equality. And right now, our nation, along with many other countries, is denying our human right to exist. We all must protect each other, and if any of us are not free, then none of us are free. What Must Be Done

How to Watch Someone Die
He wants a cheeseburger, with no mayo, and fries. He hates mayo. To my surprise, he eats most of the food. It’s the most I’ve seen him eat in a while, and somehow it feels like a rare achievement. A last meal he really could enjoy. In the morning, I go and get him a ham and cheese croissant from Burger King. He can’t eat anything after a certain time, or it could affect the drugs and slow things down.
City of GJ Municipal Court Goes Rouge
Judge Tammy Eret persistently and illegally denies court-appointed counsel to incarcerated people, coerces uncounseled guilty pleas, and often imposes lengthy, uncounseled, illegal jail sentences. Based on the consistency of Judge Eret’s practices, it is likely that all or the vast majority of people convicted by Judge Eret were convicted and sentenced in violation of the Colorado and United States Constitutions.
