In conjunction with protests around the nation, a large crowd showed up at the Grand Junction City Hall, declaring 'Not my president,' on Monday, Presidents' Day. People occupied all four corners of the intersection at 5th and Rood in downtown Grand Junction, people chanted loudly, waved flags, and brough witty protest signs that are likely filling your social media feeds.
What Must Be Done
Even divine-right kings of old, ruled only by the consent of the governed. Meaning that we have always had the power, with or without elections and the other machinations of democracy. When we sit on our hands–when we refuse to plant or harvest–refuse to spend or punch the time clock, we can bring empires to their knees.
